Legal Actions

Over the past several years, the Association has retained attorneys to examine a number of issues relating to retirees.The Association currently has two active cases pending before Federal court.  To read more about these efforts please go to the individual case pages:  Murphy v. Another case of interest to the Association and its members is U.S. Bank NA v. Verizon. This case was filed by the Idearc “Bankruptcy Litigation Trustee” and the underlying thesis is that the entire spinoff transaction was fraudulent and doomed to result in Idearc’s bankruptcy.  Check out: Idearc Bankruptcy Fraud Litigation

The Association’s Legal Counsel, attorney Curtis Kennedy, spoke at both our 2012 and 2013 Annual Member Meetings and gave powerful presentations about corporate greed and the need for these legal actions. You can see a video of Mr. Kennedy’s 2012 speech by clicking here.
