Although our country is facing an unprecedented health crisis, and most of us are being asked to remain isolated at home, it is imperative to make sure our collective voice is heard by other Verizon shareholders and the board of directors.
The good news is this does not involve leaving your home. As we have done every year since we formed as an organization, The Association is asking our members to participate in our latest Verizon shareholder proxy campaign.
Our two 2020 proposals will look similar to last year’s proposals and will once again ask Verizon to prohibit above-market earnings for senior executive retirement savings (“SERPs”), and to seek shareholder approval of “Golden Parachute” payouts exceeding three times an executive’s salary and bonus. These are proposals #4 and #8, respectively.
