We have news for our members in Massachusetts who are enrolled in UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worchester, MA.
We have been informed that a contract has been signed between UMass and AETNA for a Medicare Advantage Plan.
The current extension of coverage by the UnitedHealthCare Medicare Advantage Plan expires on 12/31/19.
Effective Jan. 1, 2020 all Verizon Medicare Eligible retirees covered by the AETNA Medicare Advantage Plan will be welcome at UMass Memorial Healthcare.
This will not apply to those who will still be covered by UnitedHealthcare. That coverage will end at UMass effective Dec 31, 2019.
